De lijn Slotenhagen / Lindenhorst wordt vervolgd met Boldewijn, baron Sloet tot Slotenhage en Lindenhorst (29-1-1660 – 8-4-1721) die in 1685 trouwt met Johanna-Catharina Gansneb genaamd Tengnagel (overleden 1726, haar moeder was ook een Sloet?) en samen 4 kinderen krijgen waaronder Coenradt-Willem op 5-2-1687. In 1684 wordt Boldewijn lid van de Ridderschap.
Zijn broer Jan Sloet, heer tot Lindenhorst (28-4-1663 – 1703) trouwt in 1688 met Margaretha-Reinalda van Hemert (wier moeder ook een Sloet was?) en krijgt 6 kinderen waarvan er 4 jong sterven en 2 ongehuwd blijven.
