Richard Ligon  b 1657  married 5 March 1680, Henrico County, Virginia, Mary Worsham.
Richard owned 1028 acres in Henrico on the 1704 muster.  His children were Mathew Ligon, Henry Ligon, Sarah Ligon and Mary Ligon.  For some reason Richard Ligon sued the estate of JAMES MASON In charles City County, Virginia.
He witnessed the will of his uncle Captain Wm Harris of Henrico.  His mother Mary Ligon appointed his uncle Captain wm Harris to the surveyors post of Henrico until her son Richard was old enough to share the post with his Uncle Captain Wm Harris's younger sons William Harris and Edward Harris apprenticed to Richard Ligon to learn surveying.
