The funeral of the late Archibald Montanye, son of Hiram Montanye of this place, occured at M. E. Church on Friday last. Deceased was a young man of fine character and one who was well beloved by all who knew him, and he was widely known through all the country round about. He had been sick with quick consumption for about six months and during the last two months his decline was rapid. His death was a great shock to the community and to his friends. He was 24 years and 2 days old.
