    RUTH GAGE, 80, OF ESPERANCE
    Esperance -- Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Ruth Alexander Gage, 80, of Esperance, who died Saturday [23 March 1985] in Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, after a short illness.
    Born in Delanson, she was an Esperance resident for 56 years.  She was a member of Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church and its administrative board.  She was also a member of Esperance Historical Society, a part president of the state Cooperative Insurance Association Ladies Auxiliary and past member of Pocahontas of Esperance.
    Her husband, Roland V. Gage, died in 1980.  Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth G. Arn of Esperance; her sister, Mrs. Leona Becker of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Esperance Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 tonight in White-Van Buren Funeral Home, 46 Main St., Delanson.  Memorial contributions to Esperance-Sloansville United Methodist Church's piano fund or the Esperance Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Squad.
