She is married to James Brown.
They got married on March 9, 1825 at Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada.
9th March, 1825-James BROWN and Lydia KIPP, both of the township of Yarmouth, were this day married by me, by banns. Witnesses- Enoch MOORE, Lindley MOORE, Jonathan STEELE, W. T. PRUYNN.
Like Hiram and Harry/Harvey Kipp, Lydia, though listed as a child of John Kipp and Ruth Carpenter in the Kip Family in America & the Family Tree of Benjamin Kipp, doesn't appear in any of the known quaker records that list John & Ruth and their children. It appears the strongest evidence suggesting that she was indeed their daughter is that she lived in Yarmouth, Ontario...as did John, Ruth and their other children. The 1817 certificate of removal from Creek (Dutchess Co, NY) to Pelham (Ontario) lists just 6 children for John & Ruth, most likely in order of age: Jesse, Maria, Caleb, Zipporah, Joseph, and William. ; Its possible she was related to John and Ruth in some other manner than being their child, but that is guesswork. Its also possible she was John & Ruth's daughter, but for some reason was not listed in the quaker records we've found for John and Ruth. Further investigation required. - Scott Aaron (May, 2004)[Benjamin Kipp Descendants.FTW]
