John Benjamin Littel born 1757 in Essex New Jersey, married Betsey Montanye b. abt 1759, Essex County, New Jersey.  They were married in New Jersey  and moved to Schoharie Co New York, where sons John and William were born.  The family then moved to the London, Ontario, Canada, area where John Benjamin Littel died in 1845 at the home of his son John.  The son John Jr. had married Deborah Teeple, daughter of George Teeple and Hannah Montanye, in 1822 in New York and they had also moved to Canada. ; It was in their house that John Benjamin Littel died in 1845.
