William Peart was a coal miner; fuel dealer.  He came to Coos Bay & worked the BeaverHillMine and then went to British Columbia & gold mined. Later went to Eastern Oregon and gold mined. Had stock in several mines. Went into business in Greehoen. Had motel & Saloon. Cme back to Coos Bay 1906 and had three coal mines. Started contracting, laid out & engineered part of coast highway; built bridges at Klamath Falls, Went home, built original Road & bridge at Santiam.
