Notes about Jeremiah Peart

"He was injured in the Civil war and got a Civil war pension for injuries, which were listed as chronic diarrhea and piles (hemorrhoids), but he was discharged from the army in 1863 for reason of deafness. So, yeah, he was probably old at 65. Jeremiah died in 1905 in Marshfield (now city of Coos Bay), Coos Co., OR where many of his children were living at the time, but he was buried in Twin Oaks Cemetery in Turner

"Sometime between 1880 census and about 1893, the family lived in Manson, Calhoun Co., Iowa [located about 16 miles west of Fort Dodge, or about 70 miles north of Des Moines], according to Adelia's daughter, Mrs. Donald Warner (1970s letter to Bill Decoursey) -moving to Oregon thereafter."
