Faris (1999, p. 53): Elizabeth FITZ HUGH, second daughter, was married to William PARR, K.G., of Kendal, Westmorland, M.P. for Westmorland, son of Thomas Parr, Knt., of Kirkby Kendall and Parr, Westmorland (of Magna Carta Surety descent and descendant of Charlemagne), by Alice, daughter of Thomas Tunstall, Knt., of Thurland Castle, co. Lancaster.
William PARR was born in 1434.  He was Comptroller of the Household to King Edward IV.  He had been married previously to Joan TRUSBUT, widow (with a son John) of Thomas Colt, of Roydon, Essex, and daughter of Lawrence Trusbut.  She died in August 1473. William and Elizabeth had three sons and one daughter.  SIR William PARR died shortly before 26 Feb. 1483/4.
