Notes about Anna C. Logsdon

[Joel Logsdon]

She married Uriah Logsdon and moved to CA.  He was killed in an accident and she married a Mr. Dinwiddie, who soon died.  She attempted to join her family who had moved to Iowa.  Part of her trip was to be made by water, an accident wrecked the ship.  She had on a life preserver, but her youngest was swept from her arms, the other 4 children were lost too.  She was swept to the shore where a bear covered her with leaves.  A band of gypsies found and cared for her. When she was able to travel again, they gave her money to continue her trip.  She finally arrived in Iowa, and Mr. Logsdon worte to Tom and he left for Iowa and they were married.  From the Walter Guy Lane report.  Marriage dates are estimated to put the marriages in order.

Ann also had a child by Mr. Dinwiddie.
