born at the home of his uncle Elijah Hise in Russellville, Kentucky  - according to the Stewart Bible.  He died at his home, "Mt. Home", so named by him.  This farm was in the Dawson Family and called by them "Sweet Water Valley", which was the ancestral home of the wife of William Warren Morton, Carrie Dawson.
William Warren Morton was an outstanding breeder of registered hogs, Tamworth and White Poland China, and was know nationally.  He was keenly interested in the History of Logan County and wrote many articles for publication; he was reated as an authority on early history of his county and the genealogy of may families.
