KAREL [II] van Aarschot, son of KAREL [I] Graaf van Aarschot & his wife Maria --- (-1245 or after).  He possessed the heerlijkheid of Rivieren, located on the Demer river west of Aarschot where shipping tolls were paid, and is named in documents from 1211 to 1245[462].  His descendants were officers in the administration of the dukes of Brabant[463].
