      Ermentrude (Frans: Ermentrude de France ; 875 / 78–?) Was een prinses van Frankrijk in de middeleeuwen, genoemd naar haar grootmoeder, koningin Ermentrude van Orléans . [1]

      Ermentrude was een dochter van koning Lodewijk de Stammerer en zijn eerste vrouw, Ansgarde van Bourgondië , [2] met wie hij in 862 met officiële sanctie trouwde.

      Ondanks dat ze meerdere kinderen samen had (2 zonen, Louis en Carloman en 3 dochters, Giselle, Hildegarde en Ermentrude) met Ansgarde van Bourgondië , had haar vader het huwelijk nietig verklaard, voorafgaand aan zijn huwelijk met Adelaide van Parijs in 875.

      Na de dood van Louis leidde de machtsstrijd in het koninkrijk waarschijnlijk tot het huwelijk van Ermentrude met Evrard de Sulichgau, zoon van Unroch III van Friuli .

      Ermentrude's dochter, Cunigunda , trouwde eerst in 909 met Wigeric of Lotharingia , graaf van Bidgau en graaf palatine van Lotharingia, en trouwde in 922 met Ricwin, graaf van Verdun ( overleden 923).
