Professionele opzoekingen over deze familie werden in opdracht van my door Herman Declerck, mailto:(XXXXX@XXXX.XXX) doorgevoerd:
In het parochieregister van geboorte bij zijn zoon Petrus Joannes in 1742 werd hij als Mattheus Caron van Meteren (ex meteren) vermeld. Toen hij in 1728 huwde was hij reeds woonachtig te Eggewaartskapelle want in de huwelijksakte werd hij aangeduid als 'ex hac' (= van hier).
Ik heb ook kopieën van de parochiale registers van overlijden van Mattheus Caron en van zijn vrouw Maria C. Hubert, waarin staat, dat Mattheus van Caëstre is. Bij zijn overleden in 1792 was hij 91 jaar, waaruit als geboortejaar 1701 volgt. (Dec 2001, Armand Meert)
Nota: (XXXXX@XXXX.XXX) - zijn vrouw Martha Juliana Carron is een nakomeling van het 6de kind van Mattheus - heeft het "Het stamboek van de Carrons" (uitgegeven door Pastoor Jules Carron, die op 24-9-1989 een bijeenkomst heeft georganiseerd met 550 Carrons in Ardooie). Hier wordt als geboorteplaats van Mathieu Carron Veurne vermeld. (Feb 2003, Armand Meert)
In Veurne is echter omstreeks 1700 geen spoor over Matthieu/Mattheus Carron te vinden, deelt Herman Declerck mij in Apr 2003 mee.

Mathieu Caron, geboren op 21 november 1701 in Caëstre. Plaats, jaar en naam congrueren met
de gegevens van de registers van overlijden. Daarenboven is zowel de naam Caron als de voornaam Mathieu niet zoveel voorkomend. Ik kan er dus van uitgaan dat het de juiste persoon is. (Aug 2010, Armand Meert)
