Dirck van Beest
Overleden in 1644 te Delft, en werd op 20 januari 1644 in de Nieuwe kerk aldaar begraven. Het betreft het Dirck Jansz. van Beest, die als j.m. op 16 januari 1600 voor het Delftse gerecht trouwde met Grietgen Jans (van) Ruyven. Hij was tinnegieter van beroep. Op 13 september 1650 werd voor not. Johan van Ruiven zijn nalatenschap gescheiden. De erfgenamen verhuurden op 27 januari 1652 het huis en erf ‘Draak’ aan de
Wijnhaven.
Op 25 november 1644 testeerde Grietgen voor de Rotterdamse notaris Delphius. Zij benoemde haar vier kinderen en de kinderen van haar dochter Maria tot haar erfgenamen. De laatstgenoemde dochter mocht ook uit de kleding en inboedel ‘trekken’ tot de kinderen mondig waren. Tot executeurs en voogden benoemde zij Jan en Franck van Beest en haar schoonzoon Jan Pietersz. Storm. Zij werden gemachtigd haar woonhuis in de
Wijnstraat te verkopen.
Dirk wordt als diaken genoemd in 1614. Namens de Delftse verenigde gemeente was hij mede-ondertekenaar van een brief van de Nederlandse verenigde gemeenten aan de Duitse broeders.

Dr. Med. Aanwezig bij de scheiding van de boedel in 1650.
2) Maria (Maertgen) van Beest
Getrouwd met Floris Leendersz. van der Veer. Aanwezig bij de scheiding van de boedel in 1650.
3) Grietie van Beest
Getrouwd met Jan Pietersz. Storm (zie boven). Deze was aanwezig bij de scheiding van de boedel in 1650.
4) Machtelt van Beest
Getrouwd met Dirck Jansz. Messcher (Messchaert). Deze was aanwezig bij de scheiding van de boedel in 1650.
5) Johan van Beest
Notaris te Schiedam (1622-1624) en Delft. Hij was een neef van de portretschilder Michiel Jansz. van Mierevelt, en maakte op 30 augustus 1641 inventaris van diens nalatenschap op66. In onderstaande aantekening gaat het waarschijnlijk over Johan van Beest.

Wegens Eed der Mennonisten
Den 13 May 1622 versogt zynde by N. Beest van Schiedam, die geëxamineert was om Notaris te werden gecreërt, dat hy in plaats van den gewoonlyken Eed, gelyk die ordinaris ten Hove werd gedaan, zoude mogen volstaan met den Eed of affirmatie die by de Mennonisten hier ten Hove werd afgeleyd, dewyle hy zeyde van deselve Gesindheyt te wesen, en sulx geen anderen Eed soude konnen doen.
Dat ook in den jare 1588 den 13 Maart ’t Hof geresolveert en verstaan hadde, den Eed van de Mennonisten te zyn aequipollent het formulier van den ouden en gewoonlyken Eed:
En dat hy op sodanig formulier van Eed, als de Mennonisten doen, tot het Notaris-Ampt soude mogen werden geadmitteert
