Notes about Henrik Cornelisz LEENHEER

Boer, leenman, heemraad/schepen 1639/47, secretaris van Heerjansdam 1648/59, stedehouder 1654/59. Wordt in 1641 voor heteerst met de naam Leenheer aangetroffen, zeker ten gevolge van het feit, dat hij meerdere lenen hield. Leenopvolger vanzijn vader voor een leen van de grafelijkheid in de Hoge Nes onder Kleine Lindt van 4 mergen 75 roeden, waarmee hij op02.08.1627 beleend werd. Hij was tevens leenman van de hofstad te Heerjansdam. Volgens het cohier van de 200e penningstaat hij in 1638 voor 5 ponden genoteerd (zijn vader werd destijds voor het viervoudige aangeslagen). Omstreeks 1651/53koopt Hendrik vrij veel land aan, waaronder 5 mergen 469 roeden in de Zuidpolder voor 5781 gld. Hij trouwt (2)20.03.1644 te Heerjansdam (otr) met Marike Rokusdr Troost, j.d. van Heinenoord, bij wie hij 7 kinderen had.

Hij trouwde met Joostien Ariens, getrouwd ca. 1635 in Heerjansdam.

Op 25.01.1643 maken Hendrik en Joostien een mutueel testament. De vrouw was "niet wel te pas te bedde leggende". Delangstlevende zou de kinderen naar behoren moeten grootbrengen en aan elk van hen op de leeftijd van 18 jaar 300 Car.gld. moeten uitkeren. Ze is vermoedelijk kort daarop, 09.02.1646 overleden. Grafschrift in de kerk van Heerjansdam:"HIER LEYT BEGRAVEN JOOSIJEN AERIJENS HUYSVROUW VAN HENDERIJCK CORNELISSE ALS HEMERAET DES DORPS VAN HEERJANSDAM ISGESTORVEN DEN 9 FEBRUARY ANNO 16.."
