Notes about Hendrik Bartels

In Aalzum wordt Hendrik Bartels aangeslagen voor twee schoorstenen en is het bezit van het gezin nog geen f 600.-- (1/2 hoofdgeld). In overlijdensakte van Eelkje wordt als vader genoemd: Hendrik Bartels Kooistra en als moeder: Trijntje Eelkes Dantuma

Trijntje Eelkes was weduwe van: Wijbren Eeltjes. Deze trouwden te Wirdum op 28 Mei 1786. Wijbren Eeltjes overlijdt 28 Apr. 1789 te Wirdum. Op 9 Mei 1788 leggen Wijbren en Trijntje belijdenis van hun geloof af in de N.H.Kerk te Wirdum. In de authorisatie 1656 - 1811 nr 669 komt de naam Trijntje Eelkes voor, dit naar aanleiding van het overlijden van Trijntje. Hendrik Bartels was toen al overleden. Er werd een curator over haar minderjarige kinderen aangesteld. Curatoren Riemer Pijtters, Mr Bakker en Jant Tjeerds, Castelein beiden tot Aalzum woonachtig. Volgens deze authorisatie was de oudste zoon, Bartele nog in leven (12 jaar) en moet Eelke al zijn overleden. Waarschijnlijk zijn Bartele en Trijntje beide in Dongeradeel overleden.
