Teunis Jan Koldewijn wordt vanaf 01-01-1943 mededirecteur van de papierwarenfabriek D&T Koldewijn in Apeldoorn aan het Kanaal-Zuid. Hij emigreert in februari 1954 naar Canada en begint daar een papierwarenfabriek, Allied Paper Products, en hij wordt in Apeldoorn opgevolgd door zijn broer Hans Koldewijn (1920-1990). In 1969 verkoopt hij, gedwongen door zijn gezondheid, de fabriek in Canada.
