Notes about Andries Koldewijn

De fa. A. Koldewijn is volgens de Kamer van Koophandel te Utrecht opgericht op 02-01-1862 door ene (Andries Martinus) Huiskamp. Andries Koldewijn komt ca. november 1871 in de zaak, die daarna de naam Koldewijn en Huiskamp voert, kooplieden in lompen etc., Waterstraat C508/509 (later vernummerd tot 103). De twee gaan formeel vennootschap aan per 01-09-1874. In 1882 komt Cornelis Sanders in het bedrijf, wat dan waarschijnlijk al de naam Fa. A. Koldewijn draagt. Na het overlijden van Andries in 1890 gaat Cornelis een compagnonschap aan met ene hr. Dekker, deze overlijdt echter in 1917. Hierna doet Lambertus Sanders (geb. 20-12-1892) intrede in de zaak bij zijn vader. Na het overlijden van Cornelis in 1924 gaat Lambertus verder met zwager George August Hendrik Wunderink (geb. 25-11-1889) die in 1945 weer uittreedt. Inmiddels is in 1940 Cornelis jr. (geb. 23-02-1921) ook in het bedrijf gaan werken en hij is alleen over als Lambertus op 25-01-1958 komt te overlijden. In 1966 komt Cornelis Gijsbertus Sanders (geb. 23-07-1949) bij zijn vader in de zaak, zodat ze in 1985 (toen ben ik er geweest) weer met twee man zijn.

Het bedrijf is vanaf het begin gevestigd aan de Waterstraat in hetzelfde pand. De nummering is weliswaar in de loop der tijd veranderd van C508/509 naar 103-105 naar 73-75, maar het pand is hetzelfde. Eerst alleen 73, later het huis op 75 erbij gekocht en doorgebroken..
Door renovatie van de wijk is het bedrijf, wat anno 1985 nog steeds de naam Fa. A. Koldewijn had, echter, op 11-02-1974 verplaatst naar de Anthoniedijk 26 in Utrecht.

George August Hendrik Wunderink was gehuwd 04-11-1919 Utrecht met Johanna Hendrika Sanders, dv Cornelis Sanders en dus zus van Lambertus Sanders.
Andries Koldewijn, Andries Martinus Huiskamp en Cornelis Sanders waren volle neven van elkaar.
