Notes about WILHELMUS CANISIUS

RAL-LvO 1756, 63v: Op 26 januari 1687 kocht Willem Canisius voor vijf pattacons en vier schillingen zes kleine roeden moestuin te Nuth van Gertrudis Bemelmans.

RAL-LvO 1756, 63r: Op 2 mei 1688 kocht Willem Canisius van Peter Slangen en diens kinderen ongeveer achttien kleine roeden moestuin te Nuth aan de weg van het dorp naar de sijpen, voor 45 stuivers per kleine roede.

RAL-LvO 1756, 63r: Op 6 juni 1688 kocht Willem Canisius zes kleine roeden moestuin te Nuth van Jan en Trijneken Slangen, erfgenamen van Dirck Slangen, met toestemming van hun moeder Meijken Rousschen.

RAL-LvO 1756, 64r: Op 31 maart 1689 kocht Willem Canisius zes kleine roeden moestuin naast zijn huis aan de Dorpstraat voor zes pattacons van Jan Houben, gehuwd met Maria Habets. Toen op 19 juni 1689 dit land werd nagemeten bleek het 1/5 kleine roede groter te zijn.

RAL-LvO 1756, 61r: Op 7 mei 1691 verklaarden de erfgenamen van Peter Tesschers en Neleken Eijmael dat Willem Canisius 300 gulden betaald had aan de Sacristie Biessen te Maastricht, welk bedrag op hun huis stond. Indien hij hen voor St.-Jan of veertien dagen daarna tien pattacons zou geven, zouden zij het huis aan hem overdragen.

RAL-LvO 1756, 61r: Op 8 mei 1691 verklaarden de erfgenamen van Jan Odekircken en Fijcken Tesschers dat Willem Canisius 225 gulden betaald had aan de Sacristie Biessen te Maastricht, staande op 150 kleine roeden weiland te Nuth. Deze weide werd nu door hen aan Willem Canisius afgestaan.

RAL-LvO 1756, 12v: Op 2 november 1693 verkocht Willem Canisius een huis met plaats en moestuin aan de Dorpstraat voor 300 gulden aan Teobald en Jan Celissen. Het geheel was belast met een halve kop rogge aan de pastoor van Nuth.

RAL-LvO 1756, 69v: Op 15 maart 1696 droeg Jan Smitsmans aan Willem Canisius zijn schuur "neffens de trompet" alsmede twee weilanden aan de Krekelweide onder Nuth, over. Dit land had hij eertijds voor vijftig pattacons beleend aan gewezen schout Brouns. Canisius nam het geheel voor dit bedrag en de achterstallige rente over.

RAL-LvO 1756, 66r: Vervolgens kreeg Canisius een geschil met Jan Frisschen over deze goederen, gelegen aan de Molenweg. Op 2 mei 1696 werd dit geschil, in aanwezigheid van de pastoor, bijgelegd. Jan Frisschen kreeg het beleende bedrag en Canisius mocht het land houden. Verder mocht Frisschen tegen betaling een tot twee kleine roeden land achter de stal in gebruik nemen.

RAL-LvO 1756, 95r: Op 15 september 1697 kocht Willem Canisius van Herman Celis een huis met plaats en weiland, grenzend aan zijn huis en de Molenweg. Voorts kocht hij van Willem Celis een halve morgen uit de Krekelweide aan de Molenweg. Hij betaalde in totaal 366 gulden.

RAL-LvO 1757, 12v: Op 3 november 1697 leende Lemmen Loiens, gehuwd met Maria Driessens, 600 gulden aan Willem Canisius. Tot borg dienden zijn huis, hof en weilanden te Nuth, groot 4 1/2 morgen; voorts een bunder land tussen de erven Lins Meijs en Jan Cremers; en een halve bunder land "op den geijsbergh" naast Paulus Goossens.
Op 5 mei 1708 had hij deze schuld openlijk erkend. Tevens benoemde hij toen de schepenen Leonaerd Limpens en Frans Crijns tot voogden over zijn kinderen.
