Ong.1918, na overlijden van Trijntje Haan, weer getrouwd metTrientje Neinhuis, dochter Frouwke Mihl. Na overlijden van Jakob Mihlkwam zijn zoon uit zijn eerste huwelijk bij Jakob's broer Jan in huis enwerd daar als eigen zoon opgevoed. Arend Jan ging in de tweedewereldoorlog bij de SS en is waarschijnlijk in Rusland gestorven.
