Bitter is de dood, die zulk een scheiding maakte; als trouwe echtgenoote toch was zij de steun van haren man, voor haar kinderen een waakzame, liefdevolle moeder, terwijl zij alles was voor allen, om allen gelukkig te maken. Dierbare echtgenoot, stuit uw rouwklagen en weenen en wil de tuchtiging des Heeren niet misprijzen of moedeloos worden bij de beproeving, want de Heer tuchtigt dien hij liefheeft, kinderen, ziet, ik ga van u heen, maar God zal bij u blijven. Vergeet nimmer de vermaningen mijner stervenden lippen: dient God in alle ootmoet, eert en bemind uwer vader, weest hulpvaardig jegens elkander, bemint elkaar met broederlijke liefde. Vaarwel mijn geliefden, en bidden wij voor elkander, totdat wij allen elkander in den hemel mogen wederzien. (Uit de H. Schrift). Mijn Jesus barmhartigheid (100 dagen afl.)
