Dierbare echtgenoot, stuit uw rouwklagen en weenen en wil de tuchtiging des Heeren niet misprijzen of moedeloos worden bij de beproeving, want de Heer tuchtigt dien hij liefheeft, kinderen, ziet, ik ga van u heen, maar God zal bij u blijven. Vergeet nimmer de vermaningen mijner stervenden lippen: dient God in alle ootmoet, eert en bemind uwer vader, weest hulpvaardig jegens elkander, bemint elkaar met broederlijke liefde.
