Gaarne zou ik van UEdA inlichtingen terug ontvangen omtrent de volgende zaak. Gepasseerde nacht is hier bevallen een arme weduwe, zonder dat iemand daar bij tegenwoordig was. Nu is de vraag wie moet het kind aangeven? Ik geloof niet dat de wet daarin heeft voorzien en zou daarom gaarne van UEdA vernemen hoe te handelen.
De moeder [van de vrouw] heeft het kind willen aangeven, maar daar zij niet bij de bevalling tegenwoordig was, meen ik dat zij niet gerechtigd was de aangifte te doen.

Te berichten dat de aangifte der geboorte van het kind van Aagje van der Ploeg is geschied door hare moeder, die het kind het eerst heeft gezien. Bij de bevalling was niemand tegenwoordig. Het kind is gisteren overleden.
