In de 18e eeuw hoorde er ook een schuur bij.
1781 - 1797 Trijntje Teunis, de weduwe van Simon Cornelis Zijm, kocht het huis voor f 1211,-. Ze verhuisde van hun boerderij naar een huis in het dorp. Zowel haar huismanswoning in Zuidhaffel als haar huismanswoning in Noordhaffel werden verhuurd. Hoewel ze een rijke boerin was, werd het huis eenvoudig ingericht met weinig tierelantijntjes. Ook haar garderobe en sieraden waren bescheiden, hoewel ze wel een bloedkoralen ketting van vier strengen bezat. Het huis had de volgende vertrekken: voorhuis, zijkamertje, binnenkamer, zolder, keuken en achterhuis.
