Aan de zuidzijde grensde dit hoekhuis aan de Vismarkt.
Het was belast met 4 lopen abtskoren en vier oorjes mijtgeld.
1749 - 1760 Zij kocht dit huis als weduwe voor f 600,-.
1760 - 1778 Haar dochter Machtelt van der Merct nam het huis voor f 400,- over van haar moeder.
Zij werd in 1762 betrapt op het venten van brood bij Jan Dirks Bakker bij het kerkhof in Den Burg. Dat was haar niet toegestaan door de hoofdgaarder.
Later kwam het huis weer in de boedel van haar moeder Meijnoutje Kikkert terecht.
Uit de boedelinventaris blijkt dat Meijnoutje hier een winkel had. Er was een grote variëteit aan artikelen voorradig. Rr werden levensmiddelen verkocht. Waarschijnlijk zijn de meer bederfelijke waren niet in de boedelbeschrijving opgenomen, zodat er geen compleet beeld ontstaat. Maar er werd in ieder geval koffie en thee verkocht, evanals grutten, witte bonen, knoflook, uien, boter, pekelharing, rozijnen, noten, peper en andere specerijen. Ook verkocht zij brood en was zij grossier in zout en zeep. De zoutkas, die op dat moment meer dan veertig zakken zout omvatte, bevond zich in een speciaal vertrek, de zoutkamer.
Verder kon je in deze winkel naaiartikelen, lappen stof, klompen, huishoudelijke artikelen, kaarsen, zeep, biksteen en schelpenzand kopen. Voor de kinderen waren er tollen, ballen, knikkers en houten speelgoed zoals stoeltjes en kruiwagens te krijgen. Zelfs briefpapier, schoolboeken, almanakken, gebedenboeken en liedboeken behoorden tot het assortiment.
De winkel was natuurlijk gevestigd in het voorhuis. Verder had het huis de volgende vertrekken: voorkamertje, gang, spijskamer, voorkamer, zoutkamer, achterhuis en zolder.
