Notes about Aaltje Dirks van der Werf

De Van der Werffs zijn een gereformeerde familie in Den Burg en Den Hoorn. De stamvader is Cornelis van der Werff, die in 1610 voogd van het weeshuis is. Zijn zoon Cornelis Cornelisz van der Werff (* ca. 1600) trouwt in 1639 als weduwnaar uit Den Hoorn in Den Burg. Uit zijn eerste huwelijk heeft hij drie zoons waarvan Hendrik, pachter van verschillende gemene landsmiddelen, in 1651 trouwt met Hendrikje Jans Smit. Dirk, een zoon van dit echtpaar, zet de familienaam in zijn nageslacht voort. Mogelijk is hij de vader van Aaltje.
