Alford F. Blank A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Alford F. Blank, 77, who died in a Portland hospital Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997. Mr. Blank, a retired railroad dispatcher, was a Clark County resident for 50 years. He was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Richland, Ore. Mr. Blank was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Clerks and Telegraphers Union for 41 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and working in his garden. Survivors include his wife, Julia, at home; two sons, Larry of Eugene, and Jeffrey of Vancouver; two daughters, Diane Blank of Brush Prairie and Rita Gallup of Vancouver; three brothers, Donald of Boise, Idaho, Wesley of Missouri and Norman of Texas; three sisters, Wilma Witte of Boise, Rachael Cureton of Grants Pass, Ore., and Doris Mullen of Weiser, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 S.
