      Kalona - On July the fourth Mr. and Mrs. John Snider of Muscatine will have been married 50 years. They contemplate celebrating that event here. They were both raised in this vicinity about 2 miles from town. She is the sister of W. R. Adams of our town and an aunt of Mr. March (?) Adams of Iowa City. In connection with that collectin (SIC) the Snider families there are five brothers living. Jacob of our town. Miner of S. Dakota, John of Muscatine, Price of Kansas City, Mo. and DeForrest of Wellman. The sisters, two of them and two brothers are dead. They have asked a few octogenarians living here to meet with them in the Park and enjoy the day with them.]



      NOTE: Six were alive in 1919. Warren is missing from the list.
