First, as Receiving Clerk at the Rhodes Department Store,then

PBX operator at the Winthrop Hotel, then PBX operator and typist

at thePacific Iron and Steel Co. until they closed in 1945

after WW II. She then went to work for the Harrison Bros.

Company as Clerk Typist. This firm sold building materials and

also was one of the leading road building contractors in Tacoma,

Washington."
