homes for special occasions and at family reunions.

He worked as a painter and decorator. andsince 1932 he lived

with his Neice and her husband, Anna and Hans Flatness.

"One day while painting he had a bad accident and fell over some

boxes. His condition didn't seem to improve so on November 9,

1940 he moved to his sister's, Karen Anderson's in Mason City.

She cared for him till his condition worsened and he was taken

to the Mercy Hospital there in Mason City, IA. Tests revealed

that when he fell he fractured some ribs which penetrated one of

is lungs. "
