Abel Graça, nasc. em 20.01.1841, em Icó, Ceará, e fal. em 26.09.1897, no Rio de Janeiro, na rua Santo Amaro 43, sepultado no Cemitério de São João Batista.

Magistrado: Iniciou sua carreira como Promotor Público das Comarcas de Itapicuru Mirim e de São Luiz, ambas no Maranhão. Em 1868 foi nomeado Juiz Municipal na Comarca de Belém do Pará, onde aceitou o cargo de Juiz de Direito da Comarca de Santarém, da mesma Província, em 1871. Nesta ocasião, exerceu o cargo em comissão de chefe de Polícia do Pará no período de 22 de Setembro de 1870 a 16 de Novembro do mesmo ano. De Santarém foi removido para a Comarca de Goiana, em Pernambuco, em judicatura, no ano de 1873. Demandou o Rio de Janeiro, onde exerceu o juizado, em Santa Maria Madalena, no ano de 1874; Resende, em 1875; e Niterói. Alcançou a desembargadoria no Tribunal de Relação de Belém, por ato Imperial de 3 de agosto de 1889. Administrou por duas vezes a Província do Pará, sendo que a primeira vez, na qualidade de Vice Presidente, tomou posse em 17 de Abril de 1870, onde permaneceu até 23 de Setembro do mesmo ano. Na segunda, foi nomeado 33º Presidente da Província, a 23 de Maio de 1871, tomando posse a 3 de Julho do mesmo ano, onde permaneceu até 19 de Julho do ano seguinte. Foi Deputado provincial no Ceará (Dicionário das Famílias Brasileiras, Volume I, Tomo II, Pereira da Graça).

Casado, com geração, que deixo de citar. Sua esposa é quinta-neta de José Caetano da Silva e Cunha, Gentil Homem de D. José (1714-1777); e sétima neta de Joaquim Vasques da Cunha, que foi Governador da Praça de Mazagão, na África
