Notes about Henry Adams

Henry Adams of Braintree, Mass., emigrated to America in 1634 and had eight sons.
Joseph 7th son 1626-D married first Mary Chapin and second Hannah Bass, a grandaughter of John and Priscilla Alden. Their children were John, 1692-1761 and Samuel 1694.
John married Susanna Boylston and Samuel married Sarah Paine. John and Susanna's son was John 1735-1826, the second president of the USA who married Abigail Smith (whose grandmother Abigail Rice, daughter of Henry Rice of Sudbury, Mass
and grandaughter of Edmund Rice of Sudbury, she was born July 17, 1657 in Sudbury or Framington).
Abigail Smith Adams (wife of John) was born Nov. 23, 1744 in Weymouthj Mass. and died in Quincy, Mass. Oct. 28th, 1818. She married John Adams on Oct., 25, 1764.

Samuel and Sarah Paine's son was Moses born Jan 31, 1738 Moses children were Elias, Moses, Anna, Aaron and James Greer Adams, born 1785 and died 1856. Do not know where he was born, probably in NY State, He lived in Auburn and later on a farm
near Skaneatelles, where he died, He is buried at Scipio, NY His children by his first marriage were Sidney, Benson By second wife, Hannah Wilbur were Jane, Thompson, Susan, Edward and Francis H. Susan married Nathan Simons.

I cannot trace from Moses 1738 but remember my father Francis H. saying he had an uncle Moses and Aunt Anna and Aunt Susan. Father also said his father James Greer was second cousin to John Quincy Adams

John Adams, second president of the USA was born in Quincy, Mass. in 1735 , married Abigail Smith who was descended from Edmund Rice of Sudbury, Mass. thru her mother - thusly -
Edmund Rice, born in England died in Sudbury Mass., Henry Rice son of Edmund and his wife Tamasin Rice was born in Buckinghamshire, England and came to America with his father Edmund in 1638.

Henry had Abigail, who was born June 17, 1657 who married Thomas Smith and she became the great grandmother of Abigail Smith who married John Adams. Abigail Smith was born in Weymouth Nov. 23, 1744 and died in Quincy, Mass., Oct 28, 1818.
She married John Adams on October 25, 1764.
