Notes about Petrus IJsselmuiden

Petrus was bij zijn 1e huwelijk (in 1862) nog onder dienst. Op 8 aug.1867 vertrok hij als verversknecht vanuit Molensteeg 12 te Franeker met zijn vrouw Taetske en zoon Augustinus Marius naar Sloten. Van sept.1868 tot minstens dec.1869 woont het gezin blijkbaar te Wyckel, want daar worden 2 kinderen van hen (Margaretha en Jan) geboren. Op 28-03-1870 woonde Petrus met zijn familie op Godsacker 25 te Franeker. Vanaf 1 mei 1901 wonen zij op Godsacker 17. Volgens enkele advertenties in de krant had Petrus v.a. 1 dec.1880 zijn schip als 'jaagschuit' ingericht voor openbaar vervoer om - beurtelings met 8 andere schippers - te varen langs de waterwegen van Franeker langs Kingmatille naar Dronrijp, Deinum en Leeuwarden. Ze hadden dan 30 plaatsen voor passagiers en er kon ook vracht mee. De vrachtprijs voor Franeker-Leeuwarden was bijv. f. 0,35. Op 24 nov.1898 kreeg Petrus de pacht v/d opkomsten v/d tol der trekschepen varende tussen Leeuwarden en Franeker over het tijdvak 1 jan. t/m 31 dec.1901 voor een jaarlijkse pachtsom van f. 12,50.
Volgens het Bevolkingsregister van Franeker vertrok Petrus op 77-jarige leeftijd op 28 juni 1916 vanuit Godsacker 17 te Franeker naar Sassenheim, waarschijnlijk om daar in de buurt (of bij) van één van zijn zonen Jan en Paulus te gaan wonen en omdat er verder van zijn gezin niemand meer in Franeker woonde.
