Notes about Hans Heinrich "Henderik" (Hans Heinrich "Henderik") Hatting formerly Hattingh aka Hatteng SV/PROG

Johann Heinrich HATTINGH was gebore c 1662. Hy het na die Kaap gekom in 1693 na die afbranding en verwoesting van sy geboorte plek Spier (Speyer), Duitsland in 1689. In die Kaap bly hy eers in Olifantshoek op die plaas bekend as La Motte (Wemmershoek) van 1695 - 1709. In 1709 gaan woon hy in Stellenbosch op die plaas Spier. Hy het ook die plaas Hadersleben in Stellenbosch gehad, die plaas was gelee op die kruispaaie tussen die Kaap, die Kuile en Drakenstein. Hy het ook die plaas Nietvoorby aan die Banghoekpad besit.


Op 29 Desember 1708 volgens Tas se dagboek word Hattingh aangeval deur "n matroos Jan Sax, hy was beroof en het hulpeloos op die grond gelê, dit was tussen Tijger Valleij en de Kijlen. Hattingh se kneg Hans Jurgen Krayenbergh vind hom en met "n wa van Obits word hy na die Kaap geneem. Sax se suster was met Obits getroud en hy was 22 jaar oud en in diens van Gerrit Basson.


Hy sterwe in 1729.


Hy trou 19 Januarie 1689 met Marie DE LANOY, sy was van Frankryk en was die weduwee van Ary Lecrévent.


Hy trou die tweede maal op Stellenbosch 6 November 1716 met 22 jarige Susanna VISSER, sy was die dogter van Maria van Negapatnam (sy is nie noodwendig die dogter van Jan Coenraad Visser nie). Die twee van hulle moes van 1709 al saamgelewe het want op 27 Okt 1709 doop hulle, hulle eerste kind Marij. (Susanna trou weer later 10 Februarie 1732 Wilhelm Rubeck)
