DREYER, Mevr. JOHANNA, getroud met Ds. T. F. J. Dreyer, B.A., B.D., predikant van die Ned. Herv. Gemeente van Standerton; dogter van Mnr. and Mevr. K. Groeneveld. Gebore in Pretoria en aan die laere en hoere Oosteind skool opgevoed en daarna het sy haar bekwaam in Boekhou, Tik en Snelskrif. Twee kinders, een dogtertjie, Didi en 'n seuntjie, Thomas. Haar kennis van musiek en stuie van boekhou het as gevolg gehad dat sy al die jare as orreliste en Kassier van die Gemeente optree. Lid van die Hoofbestuur van die plaselike Liefdadigheidvereniging, en stel baie belang in welvaarts en alle maatskappelike werk. In November 1936, het sy vir die tweede agtereenvolgende Leer Burgermeesteres van Standerton geword. Haar adres is Marketstrrat, Standerton.


 


 


 


 


 


 


 


 


Johannes publiseer, soms saam met Theunis, verskeie preekbundels voor hy op 8 Januarie 1938 in die Moedergemeente op Potchefstroom bevestig word waar hy 41 jaar lank leraar is. Hy ontvang ‘n eredoktersgraad in die Teologie van Potchefstroom Universiteit en van die Nederduits Hervormde Kerk die goue HCM Fourie medalje vir toegewyde diens en ‘n goue medalje van die Sustersvereniging vir leiding en voorligting. Hy was ook 39 jaar lank redakteur van Die Hervormer, die amptelike blad van die Hervormde Kerk. In 1978 word die boek Stemme uit die verlede: volkeverhoudings in Suid-Afrika(Deel 1) deur DJC van Wyk (red) in erkentlikheid opgedra aan dr Joh Dreyer.
