Sy kleinseun, ook Casper, van Hermanus, is die skrywer van die stuk met bostaande besonderhede wat in my besit is. Die kleinseun Casper is op 8 Januarie 1938 op Philadelphia getroud met Angelique Steyn, kleindogter van sy oupa se suster Hannie. Hulle is in die huwelik bevestig deur Dr Andries Dreyer, seun van hul Oupa se oudste broer. Van sy pa skryf Casper (jnr):

As ek vir pa ‘n leuse moes gee wat sy geaardheid gekenmerk het, sou dit uit een woord bestaan het: EXCELSIOR(hoer/vorentoe). Pa het in himself geglo, hy was onverskrokke en het vir niks en niemand gestuit nie; hy was vol geesdrif en lewenslus en kon traagheid (luiheid) nie duld nie; sy begrip was vlymskerp, sy optrede dikwels rebels en soms waaghalsig. Hy was lief vir die grond, maar ek dink hy sou in die regte of die politiek besonder goed gepresteer het.
