Waalke Eisses was getrouwd met Aagtje Jans, dochter van Jan Lippes. Jan was een broer van Jacob Lippes, de eerste man van Idje.
Waalke en Jakob waren aanvankelijk tegenstanders in de kwestie van vaders hoed en moeders das [zie OG p. 229].
Uiteindelijk was het Lippe Tonnis, vader van Idje, die Jacob van het standpunt van Waalke kon overtuigen.
De kweste betrof de toelating als broeder van Luirt Luirts, zoon van Lijsbeth Tonnis, zuster van Lippe Tonnis.
