Notes about Adelaide Theresa Anderson

She was born in Cresco Aug. 7, 1917, to Agnes and Theodore Anderson. She was the oldest of six children. She graduated from Iowa State Teacher's College in 1941, and continued her passion for teaching mathematics at Everett High School untilretiring in 1982.

She married Jerry Dykstra June 10, 1944, in Waukegan, Ill. In 1952, they moved to Everett, Wash., with their two children, John and Mary Jane. The couple recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

She was an active member of Central Lutheran Church for more than 50 years. She was a dedicated member of the Altar Guild and other church organizations.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, Karen Leas, and a brother, Charles Anderson.
