CORBIN, Francis 'Fritz' S.,"History and Genealogy of The Descendant Families of Miron and Kathrine CORBIN of Lily, South Dakota," p. 60
"Lulu attended grade school at York District #136, Day County, SD and graduated from Lily High School in 1915. She secured teacher training at Aberdeen Normal, Aberdeen, SD and Spearfish Normal, Spearfish, SD. Lulu taught rural and town schools in Day, Beadle, and Meade Counties from 1917 to 1928. William, known as "Gil," was born October 10, 1884 near Bible Grove, Illinois, to Henry and Adeline (Mc Knelly) Nash. Gil homesteaded in Harding County, SD in 1909, where he lived until 1922. In Apri1 1928 Lulu and Gil rented a farm located 2 miles west and 2 miles south of Lily. They lived on this farm all their married life, having purchased it in 1947. Gilbert passed away in his sleep at the farm February 7, 1958. Lulu continued to live on the farm, helping her son, Gareld, who farmed the land. In 1976 she retired to Clark, SD. Much of her time in retirement was spent engaged in her favorite hobby, knitting clothes and making other things for grandchildren and friends. Lulu and Gilbert are buried in the Nash family plot at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Bradley, SD."
