May 24, 1710; m. Sarah Bliss, dau. of Samuel Bliss of Rehoboth, Mass., Nov 29, 1739, at Woodstock. Robert CORBIN was the executor of his father's will, made July 16, 1725, and admitted to probate in 1736. His first three children were baptized in Woodstock, so he must have lived there until 1748. He resided at Dighton, Mass., April 1, 1755, at which time he bought land of Benjamin Martin in Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts, on the Palmer River, where he went to live.
He was a member of Capt. Philip Walker's company in the French and Indian War in 1758, and was stationed at Half Moon. He was taken sick and died, probably, at Troy, N.Y. Sarah CORBIN, his widow, was made administrator of his estate October 4, 1758. The inventory of his property was taken December 5, 1758, by Capt. Nathaniel Bliss, Capt. Wm. Bullock, and Daniel Bliss and amounted to f257 2s 4d. His three younger children were under fourteen in 1759, and their mother was made their guardian. Seth Knapp was guardian for Samuel, who was over fourteen in 1759. May 2, 1774, Samuel Bullock was guardian for Eliphalet, over fourteen. On Jan 23, 1765, Samuel Bliss willed land to his grandchildren Robert, Samuel, and Eliphalet CORBIN. Sarah, the wife of Robert CORBIN, d. March,1807, at Bainbridge, N.Y., age 84."
