March 15, 1869; m. Mary Elizabeth Richardson, at Woburn, Mass., Dec. 23, 1892. She was b. Sept. 24, 1867, at Stoneham, Mas., the dau. of Reuben and Mary Elizabeth Richardson. at Woburn, Mass., Dec. 23, 1892. She was b. Sept. 24, 1867 at Stoneham, Mass., the dau. of Reuben and Mary Elizabeth Richardson. He entered the paper business with P. C. Cheney Co. in 1887 in his eighteenth year; began work for the Berlin Mills Co. of Berlin, Coos County, New Hampshire, May 25, 1893, and became superintendent of the paper mill the following October. Took charge of the pulp mill, in addition December 1, 1896. Became general superintendent July, 1902, since which time the business has greatly enlarged. He is a well-known Mason and fraternity man, having received many of the highest degrees. A elaborate banquet, tendered to him March 18, 1905, by the foremen and office force of the Berlin Mills Co., showed the high esteem in which he is held. Res. Berlin, Coos County, New Hampshire."
