CORBIN (William, William, Philip, James, Clement), b. Aug 16 (town record) or 27 (family records), 1806, at Woodstock, Conn; moved with his parents when still a babe to E. Henrietta, N. Y., where he attended the academy and taught several terms; m. Harriet Hovey of Henrietta, who d. April, 1872. He was a lawyer until his health failed, when he engaged in farming and fruit culture. "A better man never lived," writes one who knew him. H. d. April 12, 1873."
