j.m. wonend onder de Merwede = platteland bij Dubbeldam, bouwman (akkerbouwer), zoals kan worden afgeleid uit div. akten. Hij was behoorlijk welgesteld, huurde van zijn moeder een aanzienlijke hoeveelheid landbouwgrond in de Alloijzen of Bovenpolder. Ook in de Zuidpolder. Hij betaalde regelmatig pacht vanaf 1771 of eerder. Hij breidde zijn grondbezit ook uit door aankopen en maakte op 7-7-1766 een testament voor schout en schepenen.
Als behorend tot de (kleine) bovenlaag van Dubbeldam, heeft hij ook in de kerk diverse functies bekleed, zoals diaken en ouderling. In 1760 deed hij openbare belijdenis.

Over het algemeen was de situatie van de kerk niet zo rooskleurig. In 1762 en 1763 was er slechts een batig saldo van f. 20,00 en f. 4:4:10. Arie in't Veld is dan armmeester (= diaken). Hij overleed in 1789, te Dordrecht op 14 januari.
De erfgenamen laten een inventaris maken. In 1776 koopt hij van zijn halfbroer, Cornelis Cornelisz. Molendijk, 5 morgen 497 roeden land bij de Kop van 't Land. Cornelis Molendijk zal dit geerfd hebben van zijn moeder,
Jannigje Bosch.
Hij woonde onder Wieldrecht. Het is dus begrijpelijk dat hij deze percelen verkocht. Dit zal het land zijn, dat in 1789 beschreven is bij de nalatenschap van Arij in 't Veld.

- 1772 en 1773 Ari Arijen in't Veld ouderling.
- Op 1 augustus 1773 wordt de nieuwe preekstoel in gebruik genomen en nieuwe
psalmborden gemaakt door Jacobus van Dalen Mr. timmerman te Dordrecht. De
dominee (Nibbelink) houdt zijn preek over Spreuken 23:23a: "Koopt de
waarheid ende verkoopt ze niet '"

Jannigje Ariens Bos, nu wonend te Dordrecht, gelegen in de Zuidpolder van
Dubbeldam, met ca. 16 morgen land; mits hij f 5000,00 in de boedel inbrengt
ten behoeve van de andere erfgenamen. GA Dordrecht notaris Brender a
Brandis.
