Gf. v. Oldenburg 1423, Gf. v. Delmenhorst 1436, Herr zu Welsburg, wohnt 1402-1407 mit seiner Frau auf der Wasserburg Welsburg nahe Ganderkesee, bis diese von den mit dem Delmenhorster Grafen verbündeten Bremern zerstört wurde. Die Burg wurde zwar bald danach wieder aufgebaut, ging später an seinen Sohn Gerd über, bis sie 1480 von Wildeshauser Bürgern endgültig geschleift wurde.
