Dr. Adrianus van den Born (Arie van den Born,[1] 1904[2] – Achterveld,[1] 1978) was een Nederlands rooms-katholiek oudtestamenticus en theoloog.

Tot priester gewijd in 1928 in Carthago (TUN).

Hij vertaalde 1 en 2 Samuël,[3] Ezekiël[4] en het boek Spreuken[5] voor de rooms-katholieke Petrus Canisiusvertaling van de Heilige Schrift.[6] Later vertaalde hij mee aan de Willibrordvertaling. Hij was de redacteur van een aantal bijbelse woordenboeken en encyclopedieën.

Vanaf 1933 woonde hij in Huize Sint Jozef te Achterveld waar hij in 1978 overleed.[1]

Brand en Romen en Zonen, Maaseik. Bevat uitvoerige informatie over realia, geografie, archeologie en bijbels theologische themata. Bijgewerkte literatuurlijsten.[7]
