Overval op Distributiekantoor Amersfoort (1944) Immens tragisch is dat Lengton het leven liet als indirect gevolg van de overval waarvan hij zelf het risico signaleerde, en waarvoor hij met zijn bonnenaanbod de noodzaak weggenomen had. Hij ligt begraven op de Erebegraafplaats in Bloemendaal.
