    In 845 doet Albe (Alba of Ava) een schenking ten behoeve van het zielenheil van haar overleden man Deddi (Diederik), haar vader Geldulf (Geldwulf of Geldolf) en haar zoon Folchard, waarbij een Frederic als getuige optreedt. Een inschrijving in het gedenkboek van Reichenau bevestigt dat het hier om Immedinger gaat, maar de namen klinken westfries.
    Deze namen maken de puzzel mogelijk compleet. Geldulf is waarschijnlijk beter bekend als Gerulf I, graaf in Westrichgouw (Friesland), de stamvader van het Hollandse gravenhuis. Dat Folkert bezittingen heeft in het Utrechtse bisdom is dan niet meer dan logisch, want zijn moeder komt uit een vooraanstaand Westfries geslacht.
    Van Gerulf I is bekend dat hij banden heeft met het klooster Corvey. Dat Folkert dit klooster kiest om in te treden is dus geen toeval.
