Wilma Neoma Weir, 89, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Litchfield, died Fri., May 6, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY. She was born on Nov. 26, 1921 in Raymond, IL, a daughter of George W. & Alice (Yates) File. She married William "Scotty" Weir, Jr., on Apr. 25, 1943 in Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1998. She was a member of The Christian Church of Litchfield. She operated the Dog n Suds Drive In in Nokomis from 1960 - 1968 & later worked at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield as a dietary worker for 12 years prior to her retirement. She is survived by:

1 son, Robert George (Laura) Weir of Louisville, KY
1 daughter, Sharon Lynn (Larry) Williams of Douglas, MI
2 sisters, Doris Jean Sokolis of Phoenix, AZ
Carol (Joe) Greco of Chicago
9 grandchildren
7 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 son, Joseph Scott Weir; 1 daughter, Tanya Joyce Jacobs; 1 brother, Charles File.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Tues., May 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in The Christian Church of Litchfield. Rev. Steve Revisky, Sr. Minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.
