Jacob Funk (ML2676) had 300 acres surveyed on May 29, 1718, in present Manheim Township, Lancaster County, patented on May 15, 1735, and in 1729 was a tavern keeper in Lancaster County.115 In 1735 he purchased 2,030 acres which now include Strasburg on the north branch of the Shenandoah River, Virginia.
