Insufficient evidence to explain how Margaret came to be in the pond but the family believe that following a car accident she had the condition Tinnitus which evoked such ringing in her ears as to send her into bouts of madness which could have caused her to throw herself into the pond. Esher News & Advertiser BODY FOUND IN BLACK POND Death of West End Woman The body of Mrs. Margaret EllaThompson of 5 , West End gardens was found in Black Pond, Esher Common, by Esher police on Monday evening. Mrs. Thompson left home with her bicycle at 8.30 the same morning. "My wife must have gone out about half an hour after I went to work." Mr. W.J. Thompson told the Esher News. "When I got home at lunch time I thought she had probably gone to visit a friend at Oxshott." Mrs. Thompson left her home in Send to come to Esher in Domestic Service during the early 1920s and was married in 1933. She leavesno children. Both she and her husband are well known within Esher and West End. Mr. Thompson has worked as a local Fishmonger for 34 years. An inquest will be held at Esher Council Offices this morning (Friday).[
